How much will it cost me?
If you have been looking around the Internet then you already know rates for website development and maintenance is all over the board. I attribute this to the increase of do-it-yourself tools available and to the rapid growth of outsourcing. I'm not going to dismiss either one - but they both do come with challenges. Poor communication skills and lack of true technical understanding are just two of them.
I have set my rates based on what I believe the market bears for quality web programming performed in a timely manner. Rates are subject to change at any time but jobs already quoted will stay at the same rate for the duration of the job.
Hourly Rates
$75 per hour - One Time Consultation Fee
Includes preliminary research, emails and phone calls, and setting up a working environment. If I am not available or I do not think I am suited for
the project based on your first request I will tell you then, or ask for additional information and you will not be charged.
This fee applies when we have both agreed to work together and applies per client, not per project.
New! $20 per hour - Content Managemnt/Content Display
We now have a developer available to update your content and make modifications to the look and feel of your text. You can send your requests directly to
sarah@webmastermechanic.com.
$45 per hour - General Web Programming (2 hour minimum)
Includes most website programming such as PHP, JavaScript, Java/JSP, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
$60 per hour - Database Programming (2 hour minimum)
Includes setup, modification, or maintenance of most popular databases.
Project Rates
Larger projects are typically quoted on project basis instead of an hourly basis. Contact me with the details of the project for an estimate.
